Koralie Carmen Flores est une artiste plasticienne.
Elle vit et travaille aujourd’hui sur la côte basque.

Originaire d’un village en petite Camargue, Koralie fait ses études d’architecture à Montpellier. En parallèle elle commence à exposer puis découvre le graffiti, une révélation, qui la pousse à peindre sur les murs des villes à partir de 1999. Depuis plus de 20 ans, elle développe un travail pluridisciplinaire.

Koralie explore les liens intrinsèques entre les dessins de la Nature (forme des végétaux, phyllotaxie et composition des paysages), et le savoir-faire de l’homme (artisanat et architecture) qui évoquent le biomimétisme. Inspirée par la richesse esthétique des différentes cultures et rituels des pays du monde et en particulier de l’animisme, Koralie développe un travail sur la construction (symétrie et répétition), la juxtaposition/superposition et l’équilibre, à travers le langage des motifs. Elle assemble comme un patchwork des éléments anachroniques et de différentes origines : de sa culture méditerranéenne, à sa passion pour l’Asie, en passant par le style Art déco ou des influences Amérindiennes. Elle crée ainsi une harmonie multiculturelle onirique et ouvre une fenêtre sur la beauté de la nature comme un appel à la préserver.

Ses techniques, ses supports, ses matériaux et ses outils varient selon ses projets : peintures sur toiles ou murales, sculptures, installations, estampes ..

Elle expose dans des galeries d’art internationales, des musées, des centres d’arts, collabore avec de grandes marques .Elle est sollicitée par des institutions, des collectionneurs privés ou des professionnels pour réaliser des oeuvres in-situ.

Koralie Carmen Flores is a visual artist.
She lives and works on the French Basque coast.

Originally from a village in « Petite Camargue », Koralie studied architecture in Montpellier (FR). At the same time as she began to expose herself, she discovered the graffiti universe, a revelation that led her to paint the walls of her city in 1999.  For over than 20 years, she has developed multidisciplinary work.

Koralie explores the intrinsic connections between the designs of Nature (shape of plants, phyllotaxis, and composition of landscapes) and the human know-how (craftsmanship and architecture), evoking biomimicry. Inspired by the aesthetic richness of different cultures and rituals from countries around the world, Koralie has developed a body of work based on construction (symmetry and repetition), juxtaposition/superposition, and balance through the language of motifs.

She assembles like a patchwork of anachronistic elements from various origins: from her Mediterranean culture to her passion for Asia, from Art Deco style to Native American influences. She has created a dreamlike multicultural harmony and opens a window to the beauty of nature, as a call to protect it.

His techniques, medium, materials, and tools vary depending to her projects : paintings on canvas or murals, sculptures, installations, prints, etc.

She exhibits in international art galleries, museums and art centers and collaborates with major brands. She is commissioned by institutions, private collectors and professionals to create works in-situ.
